Angela Byers | CEO / Managing Partner
Since founding Byers Creative in 2003, Angela has grown the business into one of the industry’s leading innovators of strategic marketing. Angela is a member of several professional groups, including the Women’s Executive Board (WEB), the Tulsa Chamber CEO Roundtable program and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)—where she previously served as the Tulsa Chapter president and the director of regional growth and development for the Southern Region. In addition, Angela is a past Chair of the Tulsa Chamber Small Business Connection, and also serves on the Tulsa Chamber Executive Board. Angela is also an enthusiastic advocate for local nonprofits and was previously on the United Way Women’s Leadership Council. Her incredible leadership led to Angela being named a “Woman of Distinction” by Tulsa Business & Legal News in 2015, the “Small Business Person of the Year” by the Tulsa Chamber in 2014, and the “John Hartman Professional of the Year” by IABC Tulsa in 2015. She was also awarded the IABC Tulsa “Leon Bolen Service Award.”
Mike Byers | CFO / Managing Partner
With over 28 years of sales, management and accounting experience, Mike has proven abilities in hiring, labor distribution, budgets, report processing, expense management, accounts payable, inventory management and much more in the beverage, gas compression and automotive industries. In 2008, he joined his wife, Angela, and Byers Creative, helping to grow the popular venture into a profitable, sustainable business. He now manages the operational, administrative, finance, benefits, risk and accounting work for the company. Mike is the left-brain guy who keeps all of the right-brain creativity rooted in reality.
Lisa Drake | Art Director
With an array of experience from many different fields, Lisa brings a lot to the table. Her ability to unify imagery and content into one moving piece of art has been particularly effective when creating museum displays. One of her projects was on display in the National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian Institution. Her photography portfolio is also diverse, having worked on a variety of print and web design projects, staff photos, product and landscape photography.
Marquétta Prince | Art Director
Marquétta is able to quickly conceptualize and execute effective marketing collateral. She enjoys helping clients achieve business development and growth goals through forward-thinking designs and strategies. She boasts an extensive background in visual strategy, layout development, print and digital advertising, brand management, and retail marketing. She recently worked with a startup, helping them outclass far bigger competitors at important trade shows.
Michael Paul | Manager, Marketing Services
With over 25 years of strategic and tactical marketing experience, Michael brings a unique perspective to our creative process. His multi-industry experience in oil and gas, construction, marine, medical, retail and government offers a breadth of application knowledge. Having owned a marketing agency in the past, he understands what is required to deliver an amazing client experience. From client acquisition to fulfillment to retention, his keen sense of delivering excellence is congruent with the Byers Creative vision.
Josh Maxwell | Manager, Web & Digital Services
Possessing a broad range of skills, Josh has an extensive background in developing both websites and marketing plans. His out-of-the-box thinking and diverse experience have made him an expert at bringing multiple digital and traditional channels together to create cohesive and consistent messages for clients. Josh also serves on the board for Tulsa’s chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
August Caspall | Sales Coordinator
August was born in Atlanta, Georgia, before making his way to Tulsa. He has always been fascinated by design; he even used to study architecture, but his love for people pointed him in the direction of marketing, combining his creativity and interpersonal skills. His unique energy, fueled by a passion for relationship-building and solving problems by connecting the right people, makes him a valuable asset to our sales department.

Clary has been expressing her love for all things creative through painting, decorating and coloring since she was a child, so it’s no surprise she ended up on our design team. Her passion for branding and logo design pairs nicely with her problem-solving skills, ensuring clients get the best branding to combat any marketing concerns and leave an impression.

Few have the spunk and determination exhibited by Harley on an everyday basis. With skills that run the design gamut, she most enjoys creating web graphics and improving her illustration prowess. Natalie brings over 15 years of SEO, writing, design and marketing experience to the Byers team. Her past experience includes work in healthcare, manufacturing, IT, classical music and the arts. She specializes in creating meta titles and descriptions; website audits; rewriting and editing website content; performing competitive website analyses; and creating marketing reviews, planning and strategy for websites and social media. She also has experience with public awareness campaigns and is strategic in her approach.
