Angela Byers | CEO / Managing Partner
Before forming Byers Creative in 2003, Angela worked in the Corporate Communication Department at The Williams Companies. She started Byers Creative out of a spare bedroom of her house; the business — and her world-class team — continues to grow. She has over 20 years of experience in supporting Fortune 100 and 500 clients with their communication, design, public relations and marketing efforts.
Mike Byers | CFO / Managing Partner
With over 25 years of sales, management and accounting experience, Mike has worked in the beverage, gas compression and automotive industries. He joined Byers Creative in 2008 and manages the operational, administrative, finance and accounting work for the company. Mike is the left-brain guy who keeps all of our right-brain creativity rooted in reality.
Andrea Maduro | Art Director
Andrea enjoys collaborating with clients on high-quality, creative projects. She leads our team of talented designers, helping to ensure that the client’s vision is represented through outstanding design. Her background includes print design, branding, web design, email marketing and animation.
Lisa Kleefeld | Graphic Designer
With an array of experience from many different fields, Lisa brings a lot to the table. Her ability to unify imagery and content into one moving piece of art has been particularly effective when creating museum displays. Her photography portfolio is also diverse, having worked on a variety of print and web design projects, staff photos, product and landscape photography.
Marquétta Prince | Graphic Designer
Marquétta is able to quickly conceptualize and execute effective marketing collateral. She enjoys helping clients achieve business development and growth goals through forward-thinking designs and strategies. She boasts an extensive background in visual strategy, layout development, print and digital advertising, brand management, and retail marketing.
Markila Witherspoon | Graphic Designer
Once she discovered a love of graphic design at the age of 17, Markila never looked back. She now has nearly a decade of experience and specializes in print media and digital design. Her favorite projects to work on have bold messages and a variety of colors and typography. For Markila, the best part about her job is helping clients convey important messages through visual communication.
Ben Gennetay | Graphic Designer
Joining the team all the way from Strasbourg, France, Ben is a man of many talents. From brochures to billboards, print to animation, he can — and has — done it all. For him, the best thing about design is the fact that it is an ever-changing art form. Trends come and go, software evolves and coding languages change, but for Ben, one thing remains the same: getting to learn about a client’s passion and translating it into art.
Shellie Waller | Graphic Designer
Shellie’s mom likes to joke that Shellie was born with a pencil in her hand. Longing to be an artist but unwilling to live the starving artist’s life, she decided to pursue a path that would allow her to create art and hold a steady job. While typography and branding are her favorite projects to work on, Shellie’s skillset covers the gamut. For her, the best part of her job is using creative problem solving to simplify large concepts into a single image.
Harley Jordan I Junior Graphic Designer
Few have the spunk and determination exhibited by Harley on an everyday basis. With skills that run the design gamut, she most enjoys creating web graphics and improving her illustration prowess. Her love for design stems from her need to solve problems. Helping others solve problems through art and express their purpose through visual creations is right up her alley.
Amanda Merkel | Digital & Client Services Manager
With a strong background in technical writing and editing, Amanda heads all of our content strategy efforts, both internally and externally. Her extensive knowledge in the AP, MLA and Chicago styles of writing helps our clients communicate their messages effectively. She also leads our digital and client services teams, supervising our marketing strategists, web developers and social media coordinators.
Josh Maxwell | Marketing Strategist
Working with clients in a wide range of industries — manufacturing, oil and gas, health care, consulting and more — Josh develops communication plans that affect change and achieve marketing goals. He desires to promote strong communities using every channel possible, including print design, custom websites, press writing, videography as well as digital marketing. Josh is also a member of Tulsa’s chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
