Garden Park is a stylish, peaceful gated community nestled in Midtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. Started in the 1970s, the community takes pride in their history and the sense of home they’ve created for their residents. When we first began working with Garden Park, their goal was to maintain that sense of history while also refreshing their brand to capture a distinctive modern charm.
Creative Process
Our process started by embracing the mid-century modern design cues found throughout their property and the furnishings within the various condominiums. The lines of their new logo show off that mid-century theme. The ideology continues with the subtle colors, which are their own nod to that historic color palette.
Inspiration came from the simplest of places. Our research led us to mid-century designs, like this chair. The hairpin legs and the natural birch wood finish continued to lead many of our design choices throughout their entire marketing portfolio.
Branded Collateral
When it came to marketing collateral, we started by looking for a typeface that would be consistent with the retro theme. Even the birch wood texture made an appearance in the colors and design of their new business cards. Ultimately, the goal was to provide a clean and simple set of design elements, which could be carried across all of the pieces.
Photography
Exterior and interior photography was utilized to capture the beauty of the property. By focusing on their existing design choices, we were able to emphasize the historic lines of the exterior as well as the modern furnishings, which were chosen because of their connection with those mid-century roots. Angles, lighting and framing of the images all combined to accentuate the beauty that was already there.
Website
Updates to their website have leveraged all of the previous design choices. Color, fonts, lines and photography combine to create an engaging user experience. These simple and clean design elements allow visitors to easily access information, while also absorbing the modern charm that is Garden Park’s calling card.
